What does tinting my car cost, and where do I see the price?

You never have to call for a car price. Pick your vehicle on the auto page and the real number shows right there, before you book anything. One premium film, one price by vehicle, no tiers. Homes and businesses are different every time, so those I quote free, on-site.

What is VLT?

VLT stands for visible light transmission, the share of light a window lets through. A higher number is lighter film, a lower number is darker. Florida sets minimums for how much light your windows have to let through, and they differ front to back. The full breakdown is on my Florida tint law page.

What happens right after the install?

The film needs a little time to cure. When you pick up the car I will tell you how long to give it before you roll the windows down, and what is normal to see while it sets: some haze or a few tiny water pockets that clear on their own as it dries. Do not worry if it is not glass-clear the first day.

How do I clean tinted windows?

Once the film has cured, clean the glass with a soft cloth and a mild, ammonia-free cleaner. Ammonia breaks film down over time, so skip the blue ammonia-based stuff and you will get years out of it.

Why is my tint turning purple or bubbling?

That is cheap film giving out in the Florida sun. Purple or patchy color means the dye has broken down, and bubbles usually mean the adhesive has let go or something got trapped under the film. It happens, and it is not on you. Bring it in, I will take it off and do it right with film that holds up.

Does window tint block UV?

Yes. Quality film blocks the large majority of the sun's ultraviolet, which is what fades a dash and upholstery and is hard on your skin over a long drive. I will not throw a percentage at you that I cannot stand behind, but UV rejection is one of the real reasons to tint.

Can you tint my windshield?

Florida only makes room for a clear strip of film at the top of the windshield, not the whole thing. I will do a full windshield if you ask for it, but I want you deciding with the rule in front of you. The full explanation is on my Florida tint law page.

How does the drop-off work?

Cars are a drop-off. You pick your vehicle, see the price up front, book a time, and leave it with me. I hand-cut and install the film, and you pick it up when it is done. No waiting around; go enjoy the coast.

Do you remove old tint?

Yes, I remove tint, including film another shop put on. Old film that is bubbling or turning purple comes off and we start clean, often with fresh film going right back on. Removal is a quick call so I can see what is on there first.

Do you tint homes and businesses, and do you come to me?

Yes to both. I tint homes and businesses along with cars, and for those I come to you to measure and quote in person, at no charge, since every property and every piece of glass is different. Cars stay the drop-off.
