Forty years. One pair of hands.
I'm Robert. I have been tinting windows for more than forty years, and I have cut every piece of film by hand for all of them. Not because it is faster. It is not. Because it is better, and after forty thousand jobs and counting I am not about to change what works.
The hand-cut way
I have never handed my quality to a machine.
Most shops load your car's make and model into a plotter and let software cut the film from a computer pattern. It is quick, and for a lot of shops it is fine. I have never used one.
In forty years I have never even tried the machine.
I cut every piece on the glass, by eye and by hand, the way I learned it and the way I have refined it over four decades. When the film goes down, it fits, because I made it fit. No shortcuts, no guesswork, no pattern that was close enough.
Forty years in, my hands know this work better than any program does. That is the whole difference, and it is the reason the job still looks right years later.
And it is one man's forty years, not a few people's added together. The same hands on every car, the whole time.
One standard
No good, better, best. Just the best.
I do not run you up a ladder of cheap film to good film. Everybody gets the same premium film, hand-cut, and backed by a lifetime warranty. One man, one standard, every single car that rolls in.
Why "Lights Out"
Lights Out
A tint joke and a hockey joke.
I am a Tampa Bay Lightning fan, and "lights out" is what good tint does to the Florida sun. It is also what a good team does to the other guys. The name fit both, so it stuck.
Drop your car off in Freeport and I will put the lights out on the glare. You do not have to wait around. Go enjoy the coast, and pick it up done right.
